As you all may recall with my earlier posting re: tow-rope(ing) the 323i from the car lot four blocks away from my home, I paid for a wrecker service instead. It's better in the long run, since I know that there's no damage to the front suspension, lower valence, and god knows whatever else if something would have gone amuck (recalling those Laurel & Hardy episodes).
Well, another revelation has surfaced up with this car. At first, I wanted it for a parts car. Now that I've investigated it further, there's no reason why this car can't be up and running. It has spark, it cranks, it stops, it'll pass inspection, it shifts, and it was last driven to the lot (2yrs ago) before I got a hold of it. So I am now challenged to resuscitate this ol' 323i before I throw in the towel.
Can't wait to get out there and do some more debugging this morning. Hope I don't find a failed fuel distributor...
Nice car, is it grey market? The bumpers look that way.
