Will 73tii trans and diff fit into 80 320i?? (archive)

I want to use the 5sp trans and LS Diff in my 73tii
project car, but want to keep 320i as daily driver.

figure if they can exchange w/o too much trauma
I can switch at same time as the workspace I have for this
is my roomates house and the driveway access is limited
(i.e. if they are both there for a month I'll be banished)

Any info would be most helpful.
