there are some things that you can check:

1) Check that compensation bore in master cylinder is not clogged.
2) If there's no play between push rod and master cylinder piston, it may heat up. Adjust push rod.
3) Rubber parts get swollen from contact w/ wrong type of brake fluid. IF this is the case, overhaul or replace master cylinder.
4) Check that vent hole in brake fluid tank isn't clogged. IF it is, clean brake fluid tank.
5) Are your calipers coroded ?
6) This may come across insulting, and I'm not trying to insult here, but is your parking brake lever released fully when driving ?Check parking brake and brake cables,repair if necessary.
