The regulator is a rectangular block (approx. 1.5" x 3" x 2" ) that's bolted w/ two hex bolts onto a spacer which is bolted onto the left front side (Driver's side on US model) of the motor. The regulator resides in-between the rear of the alternator and the front of the ignition distributor.

An electrical plug rectangularly shaped connects to the regulator. A vacuum hose and two fuel hoses (coming from the fuel distributoer) also connects to the regulator.
