Short answer is yes, K-jetronic systems tend to have about 70% reserve capacity. I would suggest you get a warm up regulator from a turbocharged k-jet car. Then find someone who knows how to set up a k-jet system.
I found that 10psi was about the limit for k-jet on a '78 320i.


I am contemplating purchasing a second hand supercharger. I would like to know if the K-jetronic on the 1981 320i will cope with small boost 5-7lb?

If not what options of low cost do I have?
