E30 325i into E21 323i (archive)

Has anyone replaced their E21 323i engine with an E30 325i block and head - I presume if you retain the old injection and exhaust manifold it should bolt up the same? Are they basically the same head and block or are there any pitfalls to this swap? Just that 2nd hand E30 325 i engines are a lot easier to come by secondhand than E21/E30 323i engines.
