you might be better off just buying a used engine, but I would check compression first, if the rings are bad, then it is cheaper to buy a used engine. putting a chevy v8 is what I was thinking about, but it costs a lot. expect to pay at least 4k for engine tranny and rearend. not to mention all of the strengthening mods you would have to do. somewhere I read that the torque from a v8 would tweek the car soo bad that you would have to make the radiator at least 4" from the fan because when at full throttle it moves it in that far!
