I did just about everything that Vinny did (new control arms+bushings+balljoints, antishimmy kit, sway bar bushings, steering rack bushings), but short of installing a steering wheel dampener, and even had my YOKO AVS INTERmediate tires balanced twice. Still had the shimmy. Thereafter, I went to someone who had the Hunter DSP9700 machine and they diagnosed two of my tires to be defective (despite the former two times the techs said it was fine), and two wheels to be bent. They advised me to put the bent wheels in the rear and get all new tires and they would match balance the tires such that I would be OK. The only drawback is that I wouldn't want to rotate my tires due to the two bent rims in the rear.

But you know what? The shimmy was instantly gone when I got my car out of that shop, and I don't even have the slightest bit of a shimmy at any speed.
