Recently put head on, piston questions... (archive)

today I put the head back on my '77 320i, and I noticed something about the pistons,
I was moving the crank around to get it to TDC, and I was feeling the to of the piston and I moved it forward and back, I could visually see it move, like it were loose, I cant imagine that after I had my head rebuilt that my bottom end is going out, because I could see the swirl marks still on the bore, I rebuilt my head because it was buring quite a bit of oil,

care to inform?

would I be able to get away with just rings? or would I be able to upgrade to Tii pistons?
