I have this problem with my turn signal indicator light and the fuel guage stays at empty, only when the car interior is quite warm. If I bang on the dash top, everything is fine. It is a 80' 320i which I had since brand new. The dealer couldn't fix it as it never act up when the car with the dealer. I learned to live with it for 21 years. Good luck!

As for your turning signals are going too fast, usually one of the signal light bulbs (total 4, 2 front + 2 back) is burned. Or the flasher is gone!

Good luck again.
