The lenses on the US signals protrude further so you can see them from the rear side also. The US signals also have a dual filament 5/21W bulb whereas the Euro type signal only functions as a turn signal and not as a parking light and uses only a single filament 21w bulb. You can put the Euro lenses on the US assemblies but the reflector under the lens needs to be filed down. The amber European type lenses cost about $11.00 each, clear ones are typically much more.

I heard that the US lenses were made bigger to allow for bigger/brighter bulbs (safety thing I suppose) and that euro lenses "might" get a bit hot and melt??? Can't remember where I heard that... Doug
