Fuel pump needed? (archive)

About once every ten days my engine will just stop running. All three times it started up again within 10 seconds and while I was down shifting to a stop. It has always happened at highway speeds. Lights were not effected. Seems like fuel starvation. Put on a new fuel filter and tuned the engine...happened again. My fuel pump makes a buzzing sound when you get close to it but it has done that for a couple years. Any thoughts or best place/price on a new fuel pump? I am about out of ideas on this one short of changing the pump. Tks, ykyte@aol.com
