Are you removing with or without the trans?
Don't forget the reverse light wiring if with. Also remove the shift lever first or it gets in the way. Replace the clutch, T.O. Bearing while you're in there regardless.

Planning on rebuilding my '78 engine soon. I've already got everything detached from the engine and will be pulling it tomorrow. Just wanting some advice (maybe from your past experinces) on what may cause hang-ups. I'm enlisting the help of my brother-in-law and his father (for a small fee--his father teaches at DADC in Denver and was crew cheif of Willox racing's pit), but he has never done a BMW engine before. Any heads up you can give us would be appreciated.
