that's a good tip about using hose clamp instead of wire. cutting a notch is simple...I bought a cutting wheel that fits onto a drill ( $3 for two @ home depot). THat sucker cuts through metal like paper.

At Home depot, I spotted this full blown oxy-acetelyne setup for $250. Tempted me to no end. I can do some serious damage w/ this thing. For practice, I'd cut up some raw tubing and make for my son a radical go cart using old 323 parts and panels. THen I can cut up the donor car in any size piece that I wanted to, just in case I get into an accident w/ my running 323.

I am reminded of how all of the classes I ever took in college, three electives stands out as life long learned courses in my curriculum ...jogging/running, woodworking, welding!


anyhow, thanks for the info. nice to know that others have walked this path.
