Cam Timing mark question 320i (archive)

I bought this 320i in pieces and am now in the process of rebuilding it. I'm at the point where I am ready to put the head back together and need to know if anyone can tell me how to time the cam with the crank. All the books I've seen say is "don't turn the cam once you have the sprocket off the cam" or something to that effect, but that's hard to do since it was in a box when I got it.

So..., anyone know now to align them? Are there marks and I just haven't seen them?

Thanks,
Robert
