Anybody out there sick enough or rich enough to install a BMW 4.6 liter V8 into an e21? Has it ever been done? Might be a sweet ride.

I've seen a 3.8 litre V6 out of a Buick in an e21, it was supercharged, so you're talking almost 300 horsepower at the wheels, it was a sick ride. I am putting a 13b rotary in my car at the moment, a mate of mine has the same motor in his RX7 it dynoed at over 400 horses, weighs about 1600 kilos, and runs a mid 12 quarter on road tyres. I figure that my car finished should weigh about 950 kilo, so if I can actually put the power to the road we're talking low 12's maybe even mid-high 11's.
