This is too sudden for that. But at 214K miles it would be reasonable. Seems a bit variable in loss, but far too sudden to be the Cat.

Some months back my truck suffered somewhat the same symptoms. I was positively sure it was a fuel delivery problem. Turns out the Catalytic Converter was plugged up. Idled great and would run OK at low throttle, about 2500 rpm, but if you tried to get on it it would stumble horribly. At first it was an intermittent problem and soon after it did it all the time. Hope this helps.
