I quess I just must be a person that for some reason has a vin of less than 17 characters.

Is it possible to have just a seven diget vin plus the WBA or am I just missing something?

I opened up the hood I saw the Ibescrot paint code.

Right next to it was crudely stamped vin # 6508648
On the title and documenation for this car this is the vin that came with it - preceeded by WBA.

Question: Do cars 1979 or pre 80/81 have lower number Vins?

If not I must be missing something.
