Thoroughly degrease the area/engine bay. Its a pretty buried area that often gets neglected. You'll see what your doing easier, wiring will be more pleasant, no dirt/crud goes onto the clutch.

I need any pointes on dropping in a new starter. its planned for monday so any preoperational advice will not go unoted!

I should have done this while i had the head torn apart. I am paying for not listening the 1st time, i was warned by fellow owners. well thanks hope you can help
