so if you will forgive my ignorance as I am not a guru at these things by any means...

I can use the 320i motor, plug up the injectors and remove the intake manifold and put on a carb (or duals)... but, will this make it stronger than my 2.0 (due to cam) or is it the same with no gains?

Dude that csi injection will be nothing but problems.All you have to do is plug the injector holes,bolt on an intake and carb and point that puppy.I've done it several times,no big deal.Check around and find some small galley plugs for the injector holes.Or tap them and insert a plug or bolt w silicone.Or just leave the injectors in the holes if worse comes to worse.Converting to fuel injection is not worth the time or expense.Good luck.
