I believe that my car's lean cold running stems from my WUR, as the car idles high during warm-running, and this is a textbook example of a failing reg.

Does weaker spring tension result in higher than normal control pressure, or lower? I ask because I wonder if a spring adjustment is what I need, or if it's a more terminal problem with the heating of the bimetallic strip by the electrical connection.

Just to clarify, when we are say WUR, we are talking about the 4x2" silver metal box that lies just below the starter, right?
