Hmm, your diaphram fuction sounds reasonable. I'm not able to remove the hose that connects to the air plenum. Its just rototes and I didn't want to break it. The small vacuum hose connects to it somehow. Is there something special about the plenum fitting? I did however spray some carb cleaner through it without any trouble but the end on the diaphram looks a little cracked and I'd like to replace it. How do I remove it from the plenum?

I placed an order with Josh at Mesa performanc yesterday for a bunch of stuff to get my bimmer rockin. I thank you for suggesting them, they really know their stuff and made it easy to get what I needed.

Also, on your web site, the vacuum, plenum, diaphragm near the throttle body on the black post I think sends a signal of absolute manifold pressure to the computer which usees that data, in addition to the other sensors, primarily the O2, to set the fuel pressure by changing the input to the frequency valve. That small length of rubber that connects the intake manifold to the sensor should be cleaned out and replaced if necessary because the blockage will create a lower than normal signal to the computer. The main job of sensor I think has the job of enriching the mixture under full load. At least that's what I can gather from my experience.

How does that sound :)

Mark
