On the 80-up 320i, the cylinder head had ports for the injectors built in. This prevents modifications such as carburation. The 79-down 320i used a fuel rail which can be removed, and then you can carburate it with big sidedrafts or the like, cool stuff. So to answer your question, no, a 2002 intake manifold won't fit, and no, a 2.0L manifold won't fit, because of the head. HTH!
