Gabe is right, check the ground strap. But, in addition, check as many connectors as you can everywhere in the engine compartment. A 3-hour afternoon and some beers should give you enough time to check the fuse box, the wires that go into the fuse box, and various connectors all over the place. Clean each and every connector with an emery stick (the kind you use for your finder nails). Consider adding a ground strap from the negative post next to the battery down to the chassis. The post is badly designed because it only connects to the battery pan, which is spot welded to the body.
