You will need the 323i trailing arms. There is a bracket for mounting the caliper that is slightly longer on the disk brake set-up. In theory you could modify the drum brake trailing arm, but you would still need the emergency brake parts, calipers and rotors. The emergency brake cables have a completely different mount on the hub for the disk set-up. Try to get a complete used set-up. All these parts are available from BMW mobile tradition should you find your used parts need repair. Also you can consider using the rear calipers from a e30 325i in place of the 323i ones. The e30 calipers are much easier to find. However a bit of machining is needed to fit the caliper mounting bracket. My machine shop charged $50 to do this work. Mike Matison
