You must have an automatic...if so it is located in the passenger compartment..remove the cover for you shifter and there it is...it is attached to the shift selector...

Ther unit is a small black plastic semicircle box that is mounted next to the selector lever..with a little arm that tracks the movment of the shift lever ...the unit can be replaced, but you must remove the shifter assembly to do it...

Anybody knw where the Neutral Safety Switch is located on a 1980 320i?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
