A friend of mine owned this car for quite some time, it is a 345turbo and was the only one tweaked out by Deitle so check it out! It had some trick stuff added to it such as M1 suspension and brakes, diff oil cooler, and white suede seats anyway... here it is.

A big six conversion is possible and can be done,
most notably by Alpina in the early eighties.

Thw weight distribution of the e21 chassis does change and - it becomes slightly heavier in the front and you have to watch corners in the wet.

Other than that you also have to change maybe the driveshaft to mate to the big six.

From my research an M6 engine will fit with a smaller raditor in the front, so to will an e36 M50 or 52 3.2 liter 24v engine.

I have also seen a 24V 2.5 liter transplant "which dropped right in" according to the owner of the yellow 323i.
