Sounds like a possible grounding problem. Be sure that you have a solid ground between the engine and the frame. Look for the grounding strap and clean up the connections, same with the battery terminals. HTH

79 320i (parts car)

Also, fuel indicator flickers up and down.

Also, with A/C on at night Amp light begins to glow red. Also very faintly at night w/o A/C on. High beams more red.
