Hi Scott, after you have eliminated the obvious suspects such as grounding and other electrical problems, start checking for vacuum leak. These cars are notoriously susceptible to vacuum leaks, and the idle becomes erratic. A faulty O2 sensor is another possibility. Finally, you will have to free the idle screw. If you are adjusting idle via timing, the timing is probably all messed up.
