Just run the +wire to the trunk. The - you can drill and bolt to the wheelwell, or wherever else you like, as long as you have a metal to metal contact. The plastic runner that holds the carpet down won't pull up! You have to slide it forward, until it releases from the last retainer, and then slide it rearward - over the top of the rearseat well (your r.seat should be out already), it takes more patience than it sounds (but what else do you have to do on Sunday, when the playoffs are over?)!

I have been wanting to put the battery in the trunk for quite some time. Im justn wondering if I have to run a negative(-) wire front the trunk to the motor. i saw that it needs a ground. I want to get away with running just a hot wire . Also if I life the side panel that holds the carpet down. Will it go back in place?
