I gonna try to start my $200 320i today. Its getting fuel and the battery is good. The starter will sometimes turn over really fast, then sometimes really slow. Is the battery light supposed to stay on while cranking? It ran before but now won't start. I am planning on measuring the voltage at the starter, altenator and the coil. I'm going to clean the main ground for the battery and all of the wire connections for the starter and the altenator. I'm installing a new coil and condensor and plugs. Any other ideas on where to look for an electrical problem? I hope to check the board later today.
TIA,
Randy
Randy,
You said it started before, right. Just go ahead
and complete your adjustments and come back to
board and report what happened. If it started
before, then you should be able to get it going
again. Yes, i think its ok for the battery light
to come on while you are cranking.
