Coil voltage and ignition should all be 12 volts. Did you check it all the way to the spark plugs? I am thinking of a possibly bad rotor. But other than that.....who knows.

Any other symptoms? Do the plugs get wet after trying to start? Or bone-dry? If bone dry I would think your fuel distributor....which is a bitch to work on. Or if wet, I'd say possibly a stuck throtle plate? Just guessing.

Another thing to look for is vacuum leaks....these fuel injection systems are REAL sensitive to vacuum leaks. Check all hoses, fittings, especially under the intake manifold. MAke sure the seal at the oil fill cap and the dipstick are in good shape. You may think I'm crazy, but I've heard stories on this board....and I know the engine won't run with the oil cap off.

You could try holding the accelerator pedal to the floor, cranking, and if she starts, immediately backing off the throtle.

Lance,

Thanks for the reply. I did check for spark. Its there and seems strong/bright. I called a service manager at a dealer today and he said check for a point gap of 15 thou. of an inch. This is why I'm perplexed. I have fuel, spark, cranking but no start. I can get a sputter sometimes but other than that, nothing. What is the voltage at the coil supposed to be? At the ignition switch?

Thanks for the info.
Randy
