you might try from underneath. looks like fine access if you can get it up high enough. Best o Luck Jonas my starter is dead, I have been wacking the starter solenoid b/c it was sticking, but now, its just dead. How hard is it to change the starter in a 83 320i. I hear there is something I can remove that will give me easier access to the starter but I don't know what it is? thanks Tim bmwm3nut@att.net
