The pulley must remain or you won't be pumping water. The fan comes off with 4 bolts access with the radiator out. Just bolt back in to hold the pulley on. You'll have to loosen the belt first before doing any of this or you won't be able to get the bolts back in. I'd expect the existing electric fan to not be sufficient to keep up with demand so get a good aftermarket unit and a thermo controlled switch to control when it should come on. I'd expect less noise with this setup too.

I want to get ride of the engine drive fan. The red one thats has its own pully that spins it when the car is running. Well I want to remove this and then set up a nice electric fan on the back side of the radiator.

James.

Please tell me if this is okay. what would i do? remove the whole pully with the fan and then have a belt just go from the water pump to the altinator...Making any sense?
