Start with a dousing of liquid wrench and let it sit overnight. Use some good 6 point sockets and quality clean wrenches and go to it. Do the downpipe flange first.
2. Yanked out my AC unit in the car with a crow bar and created a terrific sound system in its place within the console. However, I went to use the defrost the other day and when I turned the fan on, it did not function at any of the settings of 1-2-3-4. Any answers, clues? Do I need to wire something back together to bypass the old AC so that it will work?
Well now you really opened a can of worms. The plug on the bottom right of the blower assembly has a 4 prong plug on it. Its gets a couple wiring changes for AC use so changing it back will require some wiring troube shooting. Review the schematics on my web page. http"//members.tripod.com/~petersiposs/320parts.html
3. Have noticed what seems to be a considerable drop in gas mileage. Any quick things to check for? Will this go away once or if the exhaust manifold and O2 sensor can be replaced?
A failed or disconnected 02 sensor will change things sure but seriously worse mileage I'm not sure. Probably. Timing will do this too. Unless the manifold or Cat is really plugged up or something this should not effect mileage.
I have to finish these final things to last until next summer. I am going back to school and won't have time or a place to work once I'm out there. I have an '82.
Thanks for all your help in advance.
Good luck!
