Just came back from a day out with the 320. On my way home from about 20 miles away in a hilly area suddenly the engine died and was difficult to restart just as I was about to enter a freeway. Temp gauge was in the red. I managed to restart it long enough to get across the road to a safe place to check it out. Expecting a stuck thermostat or blown/leaking rad or hose and saw nothing obvious. A look at the ground helped identify it coming from the right front area under the rad. Closer look of the lower rad hose and I could see the coolant coming out and the clamp was off kilter. Apparently it the many times the rad came out to install the AC the clamp didn't get tightened right and/or the hose was not all the way on. The car was extremely hot on a hot day and reaching down to tight the clamp (while it rotated around the hose to make things tougher) was proving knuckle scrapping and palm burning. It trying to reach down I was supporting myself and leaned on the valve cover which promptly burned my hand nicely. Still burns. Normally its not so hot. Fortunately the trunk lids tool kit is complete and I managed to get the system back in order but only had about a pint of water to add. Even pumped water from the windshield wiper washer hoses aimed into the rad. Restarted the car and switched off on downhill's to reach a supermarket nearby where we bought water etc. About 1-1/2 gallons later the system was back up and everything was fine. No apparent damage and the car ran fine on the way home and cool. Sure glad I didn't get on the freeway. Peter S
