Things that you should be aware of are

1. a courier company will charge you a $25 brokerage fee on top of the shipping cost in order to clear customs. Canada Post charges $5 for the same thing if you can ship by mail.

2. it has been my experience that courier companies are not always the fastest way to ship things to Canada. It takes as much as a week longer for things to get to me by courier (not including the hassle of not being there when they try to deliver)than by mail. Couriered items, for me, go to Montreal and then Halifax before reaching my place. Mailed items go direct to Halifax and then to me.

3. Mailed items have size and weight restrictions, though Bav Auto shipped a resonator by USPost to me once.

As long as you are dealing with reputable companies such as Korman, you should have real problems other than exchange rate.

Hi,

Do any of you have an idea how much Korman charges for these things? Also do any of you fellow Canucks have any idea of problems or concerns ordering / shipping items from the U.S. to Canada?

Cheers,

Spalding
