I'm pretty sure the stock 320i injection system can handle boost, but only up to a certain amount. A T3 should work great for the M10 engine. I think you might have problems with that compression ratio, however. Generally turbo'd engines have less compression ratio to avoid pre-ignition problems. I think stock 8:1 will get you to like 10-12 psi. Above that and you'll need lower copression. Running 7-8 boost might possibly allow for the higher copression, but I'm not sure.
I want to add a turbo to my 2002. Can I use a 320i injection system without modifications running approx 7-8 psi. If so should I use pre or post 79 320i injection.
I can fab a turbo header fairly easily and I want to use a T3 from a Mustang svo with a intercooler from a saab. I am currently using 9:1 compression pistons. Should I use flat topped pistons. Comments and advice are appreciated. Thanks
