I want to add a turbo to my 2002. Can I use a 320i injection system without modifications running approx 7-8 psi. If so should I use pre or post 79 320i injection.
I can fab a turbo header fairly easily and I want to use a T3 from a Mustang svo with a intercooler from a saab. I am currently using 9:1 compression pistons. Should I use flat topped pistons. Comments and advice are appreciated. Thanks

Hi Cameron
If you are able to, take a look at an early SAAB turbo, 1979-1980. They used they same basic injection system with fuel enrichment on the throttle switch. very simple system, mine ran 18 lbs of boost with water injection and a fifth injector added. I used a cold start valve with a pressure switch set to come on at 13 lbs of boost. A little crude but I was just starting to fool around with turbo cars and could not afford the Callaway stuff. Never came apart, was very fast and really ate up the crappy SAAB transmissions. Anyways, I would be willing to bet you could use alot of the SAAB F.I. components to build your system.
