Hey all, just posting an unusual and dangerous story.
My friend Chris bought himself a really nice blue '81 320i, 5speed. Anyways he took it to a local mechanic for a brake job, valve job, and fuel system servicing. Him and I just thought well, it'll be back ripping up the backroads in no time....WRONG, as it turns out the steel rims with BMW covers(looks like later E32/38 wheels in "14 trim though) were totally screwed! THey didn't fit right, and the lug bolts didn't thread all the way into the hubs because they were too short. Why were they too short you ask? because to fit the rims, the put WASHERS, not spacers behind the rims, and the WASHERS were also GLUED ON!!!!!! SO my friend is lucky to be alive, well I think anyways, think about it, wheel held on by 2 turns of a bolt and GLUE!!!! So needless to say my friend needs rims to get back on the road, He's looking for Eithers BBS, Alpina, O.Z, Hardy&Beck!!!???, or whatever looks cool on an E21. Hope you like the story, and can help us out, thanks.
