Any 323 owners replace their own timing belt? (archive)

i was wondering if this should be left to experienced BMW mechanics. I have done just about everything to 2002's, and was wondering if this was a basic straight forward thing to do. I would also replace the water pump too.. I just recently aquired a 323 and according to records the timing belt was replace 100k ago.. i am flirting with danger
