Hi there:I like others on this board am considering running 40 dcoe tripple sidedraft webbers, with the existing cis fuel system.

Two Primary Problems:
1) WHERE can you get this manifold to run the tripple side drafts?

I have hunted high and low and they do not exist,
except for a place in England named Lasercrom which can source them from another engligh tuner/
CAN YOU GET THEM IN THE US IF SO WHERE?

2) Is the noise level with the 40s going to not be allowed in the MA State safety inspection?

My car is a restored 79 323i and it just needs safety inspection - no emissions due to its age. I was in there for my other car and they would not let it pass due to the muffler being to loud. How loud are the carbs?

3) How much power gain with a knifed edged 524td crank, weisco pistons and a 2.8 liter engine?

Thanks

SO how do you run triple sidedraft webbers AND Bosch cis fuel system at the same time?

Don't they both do the same job (ie meter fuel/air to the engine?) It seems to me that you want to replace the cis w/carburators.....

Did you call TWM in California to see if they have any manifolds available? That would be my first step. If not, you could custom fabricate some, all you need to do it find a good shop that does custom street rods (they usally can make their own exhaust manifolds) an intake should be easy for them.

As for the other questions..... I imagine the webers will have a slightly louder intake hiss... it should not effect the exhaust end though...

As for a knifed edged 524td crank, weisco pistons and a 2.8 liter engine?

Who knows? Possibly upwards of 230hp... but you'd have to build the engine and see...and then TUNE it. Typically the knife edged crank might add .5 to 1hp gain.
