You'll need one or more of the above to get the no-head screws out.... I've had luck using a sharp chisel on the edge of the head to get it to turn a partial turn, then it usually comes out with ease, if not, you'll have to drill- you can use a large drill bit and drill thru until the head pops off or use a medium bit and then use the proper size easy-out to get it out. The "grub screw that is mentioned in the manual is a set screw that holds the cylinder in the metal housing, you can't get to it until you remove the no head bolts and lower the column...Good Luck, Bret.
How do you get it "ignition switch",out on a 79 320i? There are no "4 anti-theft bolts" as referred to several times in the archives. My Chilton says "remove the grub screw from the mounting plate". Can someone translate this into plain English please!
