Mine was really faded as well. I just got finished sanding and priming it. I'll email you some pics after I finish painting it next Saurday. It's a really great looking color.

I just purchased a 79 323 with the color, fjord-metallic.
I wasn't aware such a color existed; it's not one of the available colors per one of the E21 sites (http://www.bmwe21.net/colors.htm). However, it's clearly stamped as such inside the engine compartment.
Mine is really faded, I'd love to see a picture of what it's supposed to look like to help motivate me through the restoration.
