scalpel...the 1.8 is coming out (archive)

I have come across a 283ci V8. I'm looking for a turbo 400 automatic on the floor. With a monster rear end. My 1.8 is pissing me off. I still have no idea why it won't start. The starter may be internaly blown but i have no idea. Anyway its come down to the last straw and the motor loses! So a long term project is now on the drawing board. The 283 has 260 stock HP! She will be a sleeper. I have a Holly 4-barrel for it too.

Anyways if i can't get it going i may have to abort the car. I have some engine items off, let me know what you may need.
