So I'm driving along, the muffler making plenty of sound then all of the sudden...very very silent. The I start losing power and now I can't even go over 35mph...in 5th gear! I thought maybe the muffler was blocked but now I suspect the catalytic converter is heaving its guts up from one too many rallies. When I really stomp the gas, a tiny sandblast sensation can be felt if you stick your hand near the exit of the muffler. Should I just bank the cat really good a few time or cut the whole thing open? Keep in mind it's more of a racer than a street car now, and the inspection is good until next March.
