I know you don't want to hear this.. but there is no "easy" way to remove the clear coat.. not to mention your paint was still fresh on the car... it's a redo...you might as well strip it back down and repaint it to do it right...

why the orange peel? are you mixing paint bases?

what kind of paint did you use to paint it with?


I painted my car on Saturday and it looked beautiful. I went on and put the clear coat on and now I have the orange peel affect on it. Still looks great. 50/50 I'd say. Looks perfect 50 feet away and at 50 mph going by. Any advice on how to get this out. I was going to let it cure for a week and then wet sand it with 1500-2000 grit sand paper. Is that the right approach?
