Yeah gas fumes and electric welding don't mix. The replacement pan goes back from the firewall to about where the seat rail support brackets start so you would not have to cut the old brackets out, they are attached more to the inner rocker and trans tunnel anyway. It's really a patch panel rather than an OE replacement type panel. The overall size is about 21"W x 29"L. They run $79.00 per side and only fronts are available for the time being.

That's what I thought. I contemplated disconnecting and moving to side, but I'd rather not take the chance. This will probably be a good time for me to replace fuel tank hoses too.

How much for a driver's side floor pan (E21)? Does it come with the mounting holes/nuts for the seat rails?
