Curious if tailight work. If all fuses are ok, then you may have the same thing that happened to me. Lights and fuses are OK, but not activated when braking. If you look at the brake pedal and follow the arm up, there will be a switch. It works like a detonator switch (uhhh.. like the one in Armageddon). When you press your brakes down, it lets the button depress and activates the brake lights. Mine was just stuck and was a cheap fix. So, you may want to check that. Hope this helps!

The brake lights on my 1982 320i are not functioning. The turn signals work. I checked the fuse box under the hood, and the white fuses were okay. Does anyone know which one of the relay switches handles the back brake lights?

I just moved from CA to NY. I am without a new mechanic in upstate NY.
