Hi, I am doing a lot of work on a 1982 320i and I'm wondering if the individual pins in the diagnostic connector are replaceable. Somebody who previously owned the car stripped the insulation off the power wire all the way up to the connector, and I had the wire disconnected for a while, but I took it to a mechanic and he connected it to do some diagnosis. I don't want to leave it exposed like that, because I know there is no fuse between there and the battery, and I wouldn't want a short. I could just tape over it, but I would prefer a somewhat better and more permanent solution, but I don't want a whole new wiring harness. Anyone who has replaced individual pins in this connector or a similar one, please let me know how to do it.

I also have one other question right now. Are there supposed to be gaskets around the cold-start injector? I just took it out, and there were no gaskets. It seemed to be missing a copper washer on the fuel line, too. Aren't there supposed to be two of them?
